Notes from the poetry section of my creative writing module.
There are many different forms of poetry, iambic pentameter and the sonnet are just 2 of them, obviously I am well aware of the haiku.
I am inclined against Shakespeare simply because many people think he is the god or whatever of Literature and people do not give credit to others that paved the way for his work. *cough* Marlowe *cough*
Despite this bias, I do prefer the Petrarchan sonnet.
