Perhaps

I never even left my chair for a single moment.

Hello despondent readers.

I cannot even begin to apologise for my lack of updates, I have just been ridunkuously busy this month.
I had my two assignments due in on consecutive weeks. Been working loads and studying for this month where I have two assignments and my end of module assessment for CW. Sigh.

I'm not even sure whether to do a quick update because I have so much to say but my brain is all over the place.

01. Finished my CW tma04, which ended up being pants, possibly, as I wrote it in like one evening? The task was life writing, autobiography/biography and rather than write from the view of the Berlin Wall like I really really wanted to. I couldn't. :( Instead I just wrote about some day I remembered. It's kind of personal so I don't really want to say. I'm still awaiting my mark, latest I should have it is Thursday.

02. Finished my Lit tma05, which was representation of city in texts. I don't remember what I've already said about it. But I chose James Joyce's Dubliners and a poem and prose by Langston Hughes and a poem by Claude McKay. I want to go into a lot of detail about it because it was really interesting to think not about the representation, but what makes a city. So yeah. Maybe that will happen soon. Not.

03. I went to the day school in Southampton, which was really good. Met my possible next year's tutor and also my own tutor took the Dubliners lecture, so basically everything she handed out to us, quoted, said to include. I did. I'm really hoping for a first for this one. Fingers Crossed

04. Saw Spring Breakers, need to review perhaps? (Again, ha ha.) Awesome movie in my opinion.

05. Just written half of my CW tma05 as I have already passed the threshold to pass this module on my tma's and I just want it done so I can focus on my final Lit tma, my ema and my exam. BLERGH

06. HONG KONG AND CHINA ARE BOOKED!! More details some other time.

Like I said. Lot's happening and not enough time to explain/ do what I wanted to do with this blog. Like, I just want to write about the current affairs, like CISPA and how the media only shows certain things. Three people died in the Boston bombings which is tragic and sad but also thirty people died in Iran (I think) because someone dropped a bomb in the wrong place. But that doesn't get the spotlight? No one cared about the struggles in the county where the two bombers came from. No one cares about Syria or deforestation or anything. It all gets 5 minutes until something deemed more worthy takes it's place. Rant over.

More updates soon I promise!

This is the wonder that keeps the starts apart

Bonjour readers. I was a tiny bit snap happy today and thought I would share some purchases as well as the tragic news that is my creative writing TMA.

01. Went to Primark today with the intention of getting new bedding and I succeeded marvelously. I am big fan of moustaches and have been before they were this massive deal and I hate justifying myself over something so small but yeah. I even have a moustache tattoo, which I don't actually have a picture for. Perhaps I will do a tattoo post. Anyway moustaches rule and my bed looks amazing. I also got the aztec shirt, although I'm not big on this whole see my bra shirt thing, this one doesn't actually show my boobs, which is always a plus and it just looks so damn cool. They've also started doing over size 'boyfriend' t-shirts for £3.50. Bargain. I'm always wearing big t-shirts and leggings which can be smartened up with a blazer or just casual with a cardi. Leopard slip on shoes were on sale and I knew I would regret not getting them. So comfy to wear too! I wish I could do outfit posts, but I don't have a tripod/patience to find a place in my room to put my camera, maybe one day.

02. So the other day, just as I was settling in to start my poem for my assignment, I thought 'hey, better check the guidance notes to see if there is any clue of what to put in the commentary'. And there in plain black and white was the worst news ever. The piece of autobiographic or biographic writing must come from a person's point of view. I don't mind sharing my original idea which was that I was going to write from the view point of the Berlin Wall. Well that's really not happening now is it? Like the book had all these examples of object autobiographies which I could have used to back my own up and explain how it inspired me etc etc. And now, nothing. So I started writing about one of my favourite days but it's like, really? What research could I have done for this to then include in the commentary? I just remembered and then fictionilised it. I'm so angry that I really don't care what I get for this module, it doesn't massively count towards my degree classification as it's only a level two. On the plus side though, really easily written 600 words and am only in the middle.

Well that's really it folks, I have a day school on saturday which will be my first one (attending that is) so I probably won't be posting until then or sunday. Au revior.

Daily Haiku

I think I might try to start doing these more frequently.
